Mission & Vision
The Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science focuses on three core values: community, culture and science. Bring your cultural background and scientific research to the 2020 Southeast SACNAS Regional Meeting. All are welcome, as SACNAS embodies the values of True Diversity. This meeting is designed to be a safe and encouraging environment for students to present their research.
This February, the UF SACNAS chapter is hosting the 2020 Southeast SACNAS Regional Meeting. We welcome undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, and faculty from diverse backgrounds, STEM disciplines, and career levels. The mission of our conference is to diversify STEM in the Southeast by creating opportunities for underrepresented students to develop their presentation skills, learn about professional development, career advancement, networking, graduate education, and solidify partnerships in the Southeast. Undergradate and graduate students are invited and encouraged to give either a poster presentation or a 10-minute talk. Please submit a 250 word abstract for your poster or talk by 5pm EST, Februay 1st, 2020.
